Report on the first quarter 2001/02 Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Berlin, 30.11.2001 +++ Lobster Network Storage AG today released its final results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2001/02. Net sales totalled Euro m 3,1 and thus remained flat vs. the same period last year. Operating loss EBITDA increased from Euro m -0,5 to Euro m -0,7 largely due to one-time restructuring charges. Net loss, however, reduced from Euro m -0,9 to Euro m – 0,8. In its project business with corporate customers the company recorded net sales of Euro m 1,7 thus 5% growth vs. the same period last year. In the reseller business net sales decreased slightly from Euro m 1,5 to Euro m 1,4. Owed to continuing adverse business conditions and in particular due to the filing-for-insolvency of Lobster Storage Solutions GmbH on 27.11.2001, the board does not assume to reach profitability by the end of the fiscal year anymore. Instead, an operating loss at last years level seems likely, however, very much depending on the future prospects of Lobster Storage Solutions GmbH. In order to preserve the companys liquidity and to ensure its continued existence, the board prepares a capital increase involving strategic investors. Negotiations have already been entered into, however, have to date not led to any firm results.
