Zurich / Vienna, 8 November 2011 - Mountain Cleantech AG - The Swiss
investment company Mountain Cleantech AG announces that Austria
Wirtschaftsservice GmbH (aws) has become a cornerstone investor in
'Mountain Cleantech Fund II' (Fund II) as part of the Cleantech Initiative
of the Austrian Ministry of Economy.

Being Austria's national promotional bank for facilitating economic growth,
Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH (aws) supports innovative companies with
low-interest erp-loans, grants equity, guarantees, consultancy services and
equity to fund and facilitate their projects. For Fund II, aws represents a
valuable strategic partner with a long track record in supporting the
development of the Austrian economy. In 2010, aws funded 6,539 projects and
companies. Approximately 98% of the funding was allocated to small and
medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Due to its strong standing and network in
the Austrian industries, aws will be an important strategic partner for
Mountain Cleantech's future investments in Austria.

Fund II recently announced its first close at EUR 23m and aims for a final
fund size of EUR 100m. Going forward, a special investment focus of Fund II
will be on Austrian Cleantech companies with existing revenue levels
between EUR 3m and 50m. Typical investment sizes will range from EUR 2m to
5m in exchange for minority stakes in privately-held companies.

Supported by Mountain Cleantech's experience and Cleantech market know-how,
Fund II's industry focus will be on opportunities in the renewable energy,
energy efficiency, recycling, and new materials sectors. Continuing and
sustainable market growth in these industries is driven by increasing
demand for resources, concerns of energy security, the need for climate
change mitigation and favorable governmental policies.
