Hamburg May 16, 2002. Netlife AG (SIN 676390), Hamburg, has confirmed its
forecast of yielding marked increases in turnover and profit for the financial
year 2002. Basis for the forecast affirmation is a large follow-up contract,
recently awarded by SIGNAL IDUNA Venture Capital GmbH, for development and
implementation of an electronic platform for banking services products.
Planning for the first quarter has also been set against this background.
Despite considerable market stagnation in the IT sector and a marked reluctance
for investment on the part of key clients, financial services providers, the
first quarter was nevertheless concluded with projected sales of Euro 3.52
million (previous year’s quarter: Euro 4.46 million) and a slight deficit of
Euro 0.49 million (previous year’s quarter: Euro 15,000).
Continued resolute cost management and an increased contribution through
licences to turnover of more than 50 percent has resulted in further
improvements to the company’s productivity. This was also evident from a
reduction in profit lower than the fall in sales.
Furthermore, Netlife is currently engaged in several advanced-stage negotiations
for additional contracts from new clients.
