As a result of lower sales in some markets the turnover did not achieve the magnitude predicted in February 02. The significantly higher loss is basically the result of the non- cash-effective increased need for depreciations and value adjustments in the wake of the reorganisations implemented in the 01/02 financial year including closure of all dental activities. Risks were taken into account in the provisions comprehensively. The outflow of funds could be reduced in comparison with the previous year by TEUR 3,834 (AG) and TEUR 3,667 (Group). The cash at hand as of 31.07.2002 amounted to TEUR 1,886. The management does not see the necessity to change the budget for the fiscal year 02/03, even though the business development in the 1st quarter of the fiscal year has not been satisfactory. In order to secure the financing of Rösch AG until the planned turnaround, the management is negotiating with several financial investors.
