SAP SI acquires leading provider of IT architecture consulting services
Dresden/Berlin, December 3, 2003. SAP Systems Integration AG (SAP SI), Dresden,
Germany, has acquired 100 percent of SPM Technologies Deutschland GmbH, Berlin
(SPM), with effect from December 2, 2003. The deal is subject to the approval of
the German antitrust commission (Bundeskartellamt). With a staff of more than
180, SPM is one of Germanys leading providers of IT architecture consulting
services. The acquisition significantly strengthens SAP SIs service portfolio.
SPM was founded in 1993, and is expected to post revenues of approximately Euro
19 million in fiscal 2003.
The acquisition of SPM Technologies is an important strategic move for SAP SI.
As a result, the company can now not only help customers to integrate IT
solutions into existing heterogeneous systems landscapes, it can also provide

business requirements on the basis of existing investments and by deploying
modern, open platforms like SAP NetWeaver. SPM provided advice on the design and
development of the SAP NetWeaver application and integration platform. It also
has proven skills in WebLogic, .NET and WebSphere, the comparable platforms of
Bea, Microsoft and IBM, and in Java/J2EE.
