——————————————————————————–
Amerang, October 7, 2002 SZ Testsysteme AG’s negotiations with banks have not
yet led to a satisfactory outcome with regard to a sufficient financing
framework. Although the Managing Board has been able to conclude far-reaching
agreements with key suppliers and the company’s employees – which are of major
importance for the company’s continued existence and further development – the
discussions with banks have not yet, however, led to corresponding results. As a
result, the Managing Board thus filed for bankruptcy with the Local Court in
Rosenheim today due to an inability to pay. This is a precautionary measure. As
no over-indebtedness can currently be recognized, the company simultaneously
applied to continue to conduct its operations under its own responsibility.
This aims to ensure that the company’s operational business can be continued in
the best possible manner as part of the bankruptcy proceedings, and that the
creditors receive 50% of their receivables within a period of two years. The
Managing Board of SZ Testsysteme AG hopes that their continued negotiations with
banks will still lead to a positive outcome and that the bankruptcy application
can be reversed.
