ComputerLinks Group Financial Statements 2000: High growth through successful
internationalisation / Further acquisitions planned after capital increase
IT marketing company: Continued high growth through e-security and e-business /
New record figures in 2000 / Group turnover: +140%, EBITDA: +231%, EBT: +86%,
DVFA earnings: +123% / Good 1st quarter expected
ComputerLinks AG, Munich, is continuing on its growth path. In the year 2000,
the marketing company for innovative high-tech products increased its group
turnover by 140% from 46.4 million euro to 111.5 million euro. More than half of
the turnover was achieved in other European countries. This growth results from
increases in all of the operating areas. The most dynamic development took
place in the field of e-security: in this segment, sales increased by almost
700% to 42.2 million euro. There was also above-average growth in the fields of
training/consulting (+233% to 7.0 million euro) and e-business/Internet
technologies (+106% to 19.6 million euro). The dynamic growth in sales also
assisted earnings: In the past financial year, the EBITDA (earnings before
interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) increased by 231% to 10.8
million euro, the EBT increased by 86% to 6.8 million euro, while net earnings
in accordance with DFVA/SG rose by 123% to 3.8 million euro. Net earnings per
share before goodwill amortisation rose by 231 % to 1.29 euro (with respect to
5.4 million individual share certificates) against 0.39 euro (with respect to
4.5 million individual share certificates) in the comparable period of the
previous year. In spite of the goodwill amortisation arising from acquisitions,
net earnings per share after goodwill amortisation rose by 79% to 0.70 euro. As
a result of the acquisitions and new hires, the number of employees went up from
an average of 75 to 238. For the 1st quarter of the current financial year, the
group expects to achieve further significant increases in growth. After the
successful acquisitions of the year 2000, ComputerLinks intends to continue its
acquisition efforts. As well as minor acquisitions in Germany and France,
further acquisitions are planned particularly in the interesting IT markets of
Scandinavia and Spain. The legal basis for this will be set up at the Annual
General Meeting on 4th May 2001.

Issuer’s information/explanation remarks concerning this ad hoc announcement:
There is no sign of the weakness in demand that some segments of the IT industry
are struggling with. The IT marketing group focussed on complex, explanation and
advice-intensive high-end technologies, which, unlike standard products like
PCs or printers, were still in heavy demand. Neither had typical dotcoms ever
played an important part as customers for ComputerLinks, so that the crisis of
the Internet companies had had practically no impact on the IT marketing
company.
