Offenbach, March 26,2001 – In the past financial year, DIS Deutscher Industrie
Service AG, specialist personnel service provider in Germany and Austria, has
increased consolidated sales by 36.7% to DM 446.6 million, thus significantly
extending the market share. Consolidated earnings before taxes rose by 12.4% to
DM 33.5 million. Net income for the year improved by 5.9% to DM 15.3 million,
confirming the provisional figures published at the end of February 2001, In
the AGM on May 8, 2001 in Frankfurt, the DIS Deutscher Industrie Service AG
Board of Management and Supervisory Board passed a resolution to propose paying
out a dividend of EUR 0.20 per share (+20%).
The personnel service operations of DIS have recovered considerably since Q4
2000. Due to an excellent order situation at the beginning of 2001, Q1 2001 is
likely to exceed previous expectations. For Q1 2001, the Board of Management
expects sales growth of approximately 25%. This is significantly higher than
the budgeted growth of 20% for the whole year and is particularly impressive in
the context of the high base of the previous year. Many of the investments made
last year are likely to impact the results positively as early as Q1 2001.
Therefore, an improvement in margins can also to be expected as soon as Q1 2001
in addition to considerable sales growth.
The Board of Management ofDIS AG is confident of meeting its forecast for the
2001 financial year due to the excellent start to 2001. This forecast assumes
sales growth of around 20% to DM 538 million and an improvement in earnings
before taxes of 43% to DM 48 million.
