ENTRADE Energiesysteme AG: Cooling things down! ENTRADE AG adds a cooling module to the E3 micro power plant for biomass
ENTRADE Energiesysteme AG / Key word(s): Product Launch Cooling things down! Dahlem-Schmidtheim/Düsseldorf. – The E3 compact power plant for biomass now also comes with an optional integrated module which transforms the exhaust heat which is generated into cooling. ENTRADE Energiesysteme AG has supplemented its E3 generator – a micro power plant which generates electricity, heating and cooling from previously unused biomass – with a cooling module from SorTech AG. The module’s absorption chilling system uses the exhaust heat generated by the E3 and transforms it into cooling. In the process ENTRADE AG uses sustainable technology, because only environmentally-friendly materials such as the natural coolants water and zeolite are applied. Zeolite, a crystalline mineral, has the property of sucking in water vapour and releasing it again, which enables it to generate cooling when heat is supplied. Decentral supply for industry, hotels and in emerging countries “Our system is not only valuable for industry, trade or hotels, we also believe there is outstanding scope for its application in emerging nations”, states Julien Uhlig, CEO of ENTRADE Energiesysteme AG., adding: “The E3 enables not only the decentral supply of power on the basis of renewable energies, but can now also provide cooling in areas of the world where the climate is warmer. For example, it enables the installation of cold chambers for the storage of foodstuffs or medicaments – in other words, a further application which will effectively improve people’s lives.” The micro power plant generates an electrical output of 22 kW and has a heating capacity of 55 kW as well as a cooling output of 30 kW. This output would be sufficient in Germany to supply 15 to 20 households with electricity and heating, or to provide air conditioning up to four detached houses. In emerging countries, where per-capita energy requirements are lower, one plant could supply up to 400 people with electricity, heating or cooling. For further information please see www.entrade.de.
