IBMC China AG / Strategic Company Decision/Development of Sales Announcement, transmitted by DGAP - a company of EquityStory AG. However, the original plan for IBMC was to expand in second tier cities such as Wuxi, Suzhou, and Chong Qing. After receiving overwhelming demand by several franchisee applicants, IBMC grabbed the opportunity to open Shanghai store locations also. When the worldwide recession and global economic crisis occurred, good locations became harder to find and rent in China remains unreasonably high. We have experienced great results with BBS-ex factory direct discount retail stores for multiple brands. IBMC intends to grow faster by expanding BBS-ex concept throughout Shanghai with the existing brands. BBS-ex is the second landlord inside a large shopping center, which collects a minimum rent plus participates in sales from the brand's own products. In the Western world, this is the same concept as 'factory outlet', but locating them at inner city shopping malls because most Chinese do not own their own cars yet. After working on expanding the brands which we represent through franchisees, company managed stores, and trying to enter local retail chains such as Carrefour, we found that growing BBS-ex concept, the factory direct discount retail store, is the best way to grow IBMC business in China. We also see that merging with local brands and retail chains is another way for faster growth. IBMC China AG was successfully granted its Wholly Own Foreign Enterprise ('WOFE') license on June 17, 2008. When IBMC China AG formed, the Company entered a merger agreement to pass through operation results with IBMC local China company. Operating businesses first through a local Company, entering a merger agreement, and then waiting until WOFE approval has been widely used by Chinese companies listing on NASDAQ and NYSE. WOFE is a legal procedure for foreigner to operate business in China, which will always be approved but just takes time. Every country in the world welcomes foreign investment, same as China.
