Hole IX-86 was drilled from the previous drill pad of IX-41 at an azimuth
of 150 degrees and an inclination -55 degrees to test the extension of high
grade mineralization observed in both holes IX-41 and 43. This hole
intersected high grade mineralization including 6.0 grams per tonne gold
and 9.0 grams per tonne silver over 56 metres. Within this interval there
is a higher grade interval containing 13.1 grams per tonne gold and 17.7
grams per tonne silver over 24 metres. This hole extends the base of the
high grade gold mineralization an additional 45 metres from Hole IX-41 into
a previously undrilled area.
Hole IX-89 was drilled to test the extension of what is thought to be a
tabular zone of high-grade mineralization extending through holes IX-22,
38, 40, 42 and 44 on the northeast end of the deposit. The high-grade
mineralization in the earlier holes is associated with a porphyritic
feldspar phase that varies from a feldspar porphyry intrusion to an
andesitic crystal tuff and pyroclastic breccia with crystal tuff matrix.
This porphyritic phase frequently has associated carbonate +/- clay +/-
quartz veining. In general the porphyritic phase is similar to and may be
an extension of the main porphyritic core (situated 50m to the south) that
hosts some of the highest grade ore (holes IX-27, 67, 45, 37, 39, 41, 43)
in the Campamento deposit
Drill hole IX-89 was collared 70m to the north-northeast from IX-88. It was
drilled at an azimuth of 150 degrees and an inclination of -45 degrees to
test for the continuity of the porphyry / carbonate vein zone to the
northeast of holes IX-40, 42 and 44. This hole intersected the porphyritic
crystal tuff with carbonate-clay veining to a depth of 83 metres. From 46
to 70 metres depth, this zone assayed 2.5 grams per tonne gold and 4.8
grams per tonne silver over 24 metres. This hole also intersected a second
feldspar porphyry unit with clay-carbonate veining from 131-146 metres
depth. This second zone assayed 9.5 grams per tonne gold and 70.4 grams per
tonne of silver over 14.0 metres from 126 to 140 metres depth. This hole
indicates the porphyry phase has expanded to the NE and increased the
strike extension of the high-grade gold mineralization a further 35 metres
to the northeast.
Hole IX-77, reported in a press release dated November 25, 2005, drilled 85
metres to the northeast of hole IX-89, intersected a similar porphyritic
phase which assayed 1.1 grams per tonne gold and 1.4 grams per tonne silver
over 30 metres (from 126-156 metres depth). It is now thought that this
hole was drilled beneath the key mineralized unit and further drilling is
required to test for additional extensions.
Phil Pyle, Linear’s Vice President of Exploration states ‘The extension of
high-grade mineralization in both holes IX-86 and IX-89 is a significant
advancement in our understanding of the Campamento deposit. Hole IX-86
indicates a 45 metre extension of high-grade mineralization to the
southeast from previous drilling while hole IX-89 indicates a 35 metre
extension to the northeast. These additions to the mineral resource
continue to suggest possible expansions in both open directions.’
Linear is also pleased to announce the results of drill Holes IX-82 to
IX-85 and IX-87 to IX-88 which were drilled for infill and extension of
near surface mineralization at the Campamento gold deposit in order to
provide sufficient drill information for a resource calculation compliant
with the requirements under National Instrument 43-101.

Drill holes IX-82, IX-83 and IX-84 were drilled along the NW margin of the
Campamento system. The holes were collared at or just outside to the north
of the approximate boundary of the 1.0 gram per tonne gold shell
surrounding the Campamento deposit. All holes tested areas that had no
previous drilling within 25-50 metres.
Hole IX-82 was drilled vertically from the pad of hole IX-72. The hole was
situated 10 metres to the NE of the approximate boundary 1.0 gram per tonne
gold shell boundary surrounding the Campamento deposit. The hole
intersected low level anomalous gold mineralization with the exception of
two separate two metre intervals in excess of 1 gram per tonne gold
associated with a porphyritic andesite flow unit.
Hole IX-83 was collared 28 metres to the NE of IX-82 at an azimuth of 339
degrees and an inclination of -70 degrees, near the limit of the 1 gram per
tonne gold shell. The hole intersected low level anomalous gold
mineralization except for a four metre interval which assayed 1.7 grams per
tonne gold from a depth of 6 metres. The hole was drilled to the NW away
from the centre of the deposit.
Hole IX-84 was collared 86.5 metres to the NNE of hole IX-83 on previous
pad IX-15. This hole was drilled at an azimuth of 152 degrees and an
inclination of -45 degrees. The hole intersected 1.3 grams per tonne gold
over 68.8 metres and further defined the plus 1.0 gram per tonne gold shell
surrounding the deposit. At the bottom, this hole stopped in higher grade
mineralization which assayed 4.2 grams per tonne gold and 39.0 grams per
tonne silver over 6.8 metres.
Hole IX-85 was situated on the previous drill pad of IX-42 at an azimuth of
150 degrees and an inclination of -55 degrees to test for the southern
extension of higher grade mineralization intersected in both drill holes
IX-42 and IX-44. This hole intersected 0.7 grams per tonne gold over 39.4
metres (from 52-91.4m) including three separate intervals assaying greater
than one gram per tonne gold. The hole bottomed in mineralization.
IX-87 was collared near the south-western margin of the Campamento deposit
to test for the continuation of the 1 gram per tonne gold shell to the
southwest of hole IX-74 (which intersected 1.0 grams per tonne of gold over
112 metres). Hole IX-87 was drilled at an azimuth of 150 degrees and an
inclination of -45 degrees and intersected only weakly anomalous levels of
gold mineralization and weakly to non-fractured volcanic rocks as opposed
to hole IX-74 which intersected intense fracturing with associated
carbonate-clay veining.
Hole IX-88 was drilled from the previous drill pads of IX-40 at an azimuth
of 70 degrees and an inclination of -45 degrees to test for the possible
northeast extension of the same porphyritic phase associated with
mineralization in holes IX-22, 38, 40, 42 and 44 and encountered in IX-89.
This hole intersected the crystal tuff / andesite porphyry phase with
carbonate-clay veining to a depth 56 metres with the veining extending a
further 56 metres below. Hole IX-88 intersected 1.0 grams per tonne gold
over 74 metres including a zone from 44 to 62 metres depth which assayed
1.3 grams per tonne gold over 18 metres. This hole extends the
mineralization along strike a further 15-20m to the NE from hole IX-40.
Drilling continues on the Campamento deposit with two rigs in operation
testing additional extensions to the northeast of hole IX-89 and probing
for additional deep mineralization below the core of the deposit.
Two additional rigs at the Ixhuatan project are also in operation on the
newly recognized Caracol discovery, located 2.1 kilometres north-northeast
of the Campamento deposit. Additional results for the Caracol Zone are
expected shortly.
This press release has been prepared under the supervision of Mr. Bill Bond
P.Geo., who serves as the qualified person for this project under National
Instrument 43-101. A map of the project showing the location of all drill
holes is available at the company’s website www.lineargoldcorp.com.
All samples were submitted to ALS-Chemex Labs in Guadalajara, Mexico with
gold analysed by 50g charge digestion Fire Assay – AA finish with samples
greater that 10 grams per tonne analysed by Fire Assay – gravimetric
finish. Other metals were analysed by aqua regia digestion with ICP finish.
Linear Gold Corp. is actively exploring for gold and base metals in Mexico,
and through joint ventures in Canada and the Dominican Republic.
