NEXT ALTERNATIVE AFFILIATE CONTINUES TO GARNER ATTENTION FOR NANO-TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH
Next Alternative Inc. / Key word(s): Miscellaneous FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 29, 2012 NEXT ALTERNATIVE AFFILIATE CONTINUES TO GARNER ATTENTION FOR NANO-TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH (Ottawa, Ontario) Robert Ireland, CEO of Next Alternative, Inc. (N4H-Xetra), is pleased to announce that Dr. Omar Ramahi, a Professor at Waterloo University working with the firm's chemists, has recently been featured prominently within the alternative energy arena. Having been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) for his research on harvesting electromagnetic energy in the micro-wave and infrared spectra, Dr. Ramahi has enjoyed positive editorial coverage regarding the ramifications and pending benefits from this ground-breaking research. Dr. Ramahi and NAI chemists are developing a type of diode with a much faster switching speed compatible to the frequencies of the infrared spectrum. Then they will concentrate on electrically-small resonators and nanosize antennas. This technology could be applied in panels that convert infrared radiation energy into direct current to then be stored in batteries. According to Ireland, 'The fact that Dr. Ramahi's research is receiving such positive attention is a great indication of just how important it is within the alternative energy sector.' He continued by saying, 'Next Alternative is proud to be a part of this exciting study and looks forward to sharing the break-throughs that our chemists and Dr. Ramahi are sure to achieve.'
