Obducat AB: STMicroelectronics entscheidet sich für Obducat NIL Technologie

April 2007 ST Microelectronics hat ein NIL-F&E System bestellt, das im Geschäftsbereich FTM / Advanced R&D – Post Silicon Technology (PST) des Unternehmens zu Entwicklungszwecken eingesetzt werden soll. Obducat hat zudem so genannte Stamper (Reproduktionsstempel) hergestellt, die in diesem Evaluierungsprojekt verwendet werden. Seit 2006 arbeitet der Geschäftsbereich FTM / Advanced R&D – Post Silicon Technology (PST) von STMicroelectronics unter Leitung von Dr. Gianguido Rizzotto mit Obducat gemeinsam an der Evaluierung der Nano Imprint Lithography (NIL) Technologie als potentieller, skalierbarer Patterning-Methode für vollorganische und hybride Elektronikkomponenten mit einer Strukturgröße im Bereich von 50 nm. Dazu Dr. Luigi Occhipinti, Programs Manager und Leiter der All-Organic Electronics Teams in Catania und Portici (Neapel): 'Die Auswertung der Nano Imprint Lithography ist ein weiterer Schritt nach vorne in der Entwicklung einer vollständig neuen Technologieplattform für vollorganische und hybride Elektronikkomponenten, die mit Hilfe nicht-fotolithografischer Prozesse zu sehr geringen Kosten hergestellt werden sollen. Die Realisierung von Bauelementstrukturen mit Auflösungen im Nanobereich über die simultane thermische und UV-gestützte Nano Imprint Lithography für Anwendungen im Bereich der Large-Area-Elektronik macht das Obducat System attraktiv für die Strukturierung (Patterning) eines umfassenden Spektrums an organischen Materialien.'
