Searchgold Resources Inc. / Miscellaneous Release of a Corporate News, transmitted by DGAP - a company of EquityStory AG. The issuer / publisher is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Montreal, July 10 2007 – SearchGold Resources Inc. (TSXV:RSG, FSE:S1O) is pleased to provide an update on the drilling campaign currently underway on its Bakoudou-Magnima Gold Project located in Gabon, Africa. A total of 37 holes have been executed since Managem has resumed drilling activities. Mineralized intervals are assayed in priority and the present release concerns the partial results of 17 drill holes. The drilling program is continuing uninterrupted with two drills testing the extensions of the mineralization defined to date. The highlights of the recent results are : 1 – Extension and thickening of Zone A at depth as demonstrated by the following mineralized intervals : • BA06-21 : 4.43 g/t Au over 17.20m from 24.80m to 42.00m • BA06-24 : 2.24 g/t Au over 32.50m from 33.00m to 65.50m • BA06-26 : 1.34 g/t Au over 16.60m from 62.40m to 79.00m 2 – Extension of Zone A towards the north-west as demonstrated by the following mineralized intervals obtained 50m to the north-west of the previous SearchGold drill holes : • BA06-13 : 1.20 g/t Au over 6.00m from 10.00m to 16.00m and 5.01 g/t Au over 4.00m from 19.50m to 23.50m • BA06-14 : 3.05 g/t Au over 4.05m from 9.10m to 13.15m A detailed table with the results of the recent drilling program on Zone A is presented below. Please refer to the attached figure or visit : http://www.searchgold.ca for the exact location of the drill holes. Sections 125S and 175S are also presented with sections 50S and 75S which exhibit representative sections of the central part of Zone A. Philippe Giaro, President and CEO, stated 'With Managem’s recent drilling we almost systematically reach the fresh rock and, along with the observed thickening of Zone A towards the south in the oxide zone, we are now pleased to record persistent mineralization in the sulfide zone on wider intervals than previously recognized in MetChem’s conceptual study. We also notice an increase in the gold grade in the fresh rock as observed in Managem’s holes BA06-12 (14.22 g/t Au over 2.0m from 105.0m to 107.0m) and BA06-04 (11.98 g/t Au over 5.4m from 100.1m to 105.5m). In the light of these observations, it appears that the oxide part of Zone A would be the starting point of a mining operation with the opportunity to extend its mine life with the fresh rock mineralization.' A detailed table with the results of holes BA06-20 to 22, BA06-24 and BA06-26, is presented below. These holes are aimed at completing the drilling on sections 100S, 125S and 175S. The table cannot be viewed here. Please go to: www.searchgold.ca A detailed table with the results of holes BA06-13 to 16, BA06-18 and BA06-23, is presented below. These holes were the first to be drilled by Managem on the north-west extension of Zone A; from 50 to 200m north-west of the previous SearchGold drill holes. The table cannot be viewed here. Please go to: www.searchgold.ca A detailed table with the results of holes BA06-19 and BA06-27 to 29, is presented below. These holes are aimed at drilling off the southern extension of Zone A. The table cannot be viewed here. Please go to: www.searchgold.ca No cut-off grade was applied in the calculation of the above intersections as an exact cut-off grade will be determined from final project statistical evaluations. Moreover, even though the drilling is performed at high angle to the mineralized structures, the above intersections do not represent perfect true widths. Such true widths will be computed and integrated in the final stages of the project modeling. Individual samples weighting 3kg on average are taken from sawn half core at +/- 1 meter intervals in the mineralized zones with consideration of the geological contacts. A rigorous QA/QC program involves the random inclusion of 10% standards, duplicates and blanks at the sample collection and preparation stage. The samples are flown to the ALS laboratory in Mali for analysis by fire assay on 50g pulp samples. The sample preparation procedure involves the crushing of the entire 3kg sample followed by quartering to obtain a representative 500g sample which is entirely pulverized and out of which a 50g sample is isolated for analysis by fire assay. The program is being executed by Managem, and all drill core is logged and sampled under the supervision of Mr. Benyounes Maamar, P. Geol. Philippe Giaro, P.Geol., President and CEO of SearchGold Resources Inc. and Qualified Person for SearchGold, has reviewed and approved the content of this release. In July 2005, SearchGold signed a strategic $4,200,000 joint venture agreement on the Bakoudou-Magnima Gold Project with Managem, a successful, established African-based mining company (www.managem-ona.com). Through its subsidiaries, Managem operates 6 mines in Morocco and was also involved in the development of two gold mines in West Africa. In June 2007, SearchGold announced the appointment of SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc. (« SRK ») for an engineering mandate concerning the assistance for the development of the on-going feasibility study on Zone A. A first site visit by SRK and SearchGold’s management was executed in early June 2007 in Gabon and Morocco. About SearchGold Resources Inc. SearchGold Resources is a Canadian-based mining exploration company whose primary mission is to target, explore and develop gold deposits in Africa and in Canada. The expansion strategy executed in 2006 has set the stage for the Company’s development in 2007 as this new year will see increased activity on the new blue-sky properties and the advanced projects as well as some potential acquisitions.
