In the third quarter of 2008, TIG Themis Industries Group (ISIN:
DE0007857575) reported a negative result from ordinary activities in the
amount of minus EUR 2.5 million (previous quarter: minus EUR 2.6 million).
Balance sheet value of shareholders’ equity as of September 30, 2008
equalled EUR 50.2 million (previous quarter: EUR 52.7 million), thereby
clearly continuing to exceed the market capitalisation of EUR 23 million as
of the reporting date. As of the quarter's end, Themis had an equity ratio
of 91% (previous quarter: 95%).

On the other side of the balance sheet, current assets as of September 30,
2008 came to EUR 10.3 million (previous quarter: EUR 6.1 million). Cash and
cash equivalents amounted to more than EUR 6.6 million (previous quarter:
EUR 1.5 million). In the third quarter, the capital calls associated with
fund investments came to EUR 4.13 million. The same time period saw return
cash flows to Themis from the invested funds in the amount of EUR 4.01
million.

Themis' net asset value (NAV) as of September 30, 2008, stood at EUR 0.97
and was only one cent below the level of the prior quarter, despite the
movements in the market price of the Company's exchange-listed fund
holdings. The share price was quoted at a 63% discount to NAV as of the
reporting date.

Christoph D. Kauter, Themis' Chief Executive Officer: 'By prospectively
marking down its fund shares at the half-year point, Themis has already
made allowance for the movements in the market prices of its portfolio
holdings expected as a result of the financial crisis. In the third
quarter, this has proven to be valuable and far-sighted, and additional
write-downs in the amount of EUR 4 million were in line with expectations.
In sum, the investment portfolio turned in a satisfactory performance
against the backdrop of current market conditions. The capital calls
associated with the fund investments were offset by investment
distributions, such that there was a positive preservation of capital and a
stable NAV.'

Since the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held on September
4, 2008, the Company's new positioning has pressed forward in a purposeful
manner. Hence, as of the end of October, as part of an adjustment of the
portfolio to clean out non-strategic holdings, there was a successful sale
of one fund. The Company will continue to pursue further portfolio
optimisation and initial investment possibilities in the coming months.
