Produced by French boutique studio, La Station Animation in coproduction with French terrestrial broadcaster France 3 and TV-Loonland, MISTER OTTER is animated in 3D but has a delightful 2D look. The series is directed by Ahmidou Lyazidi and is set for full delivery in April 2009. Based on a concept by acclaimed author, Marguerite Sauvage, the show is a wonderfully eccentric approach to learning. Viewers will discover a miscellany of fascinating cultural facts and the truth behind momentous moments in history. Presented and guided by a rather witty Narrator, each episode of MISTER OTTER, explores a different historical theme or question. For example, do you know how French Fries were invented, or the origin of microwave ovens, or even why electric guitars were created? Or did you know where blue jeans come from? Or what exactly Marco Polo had in common with Pasta? Always armed with a full trunk of colourful costumes and accompanied by his enthusiastic sidekick, Little Rascal, MISTER OTTER is indeed the world´s first globe-trotting, time-travelling, fancy dressing Otter! Olivier Dumont, Managing Director of TV-Loonland: 'We believe that MISTER OTTER will be the perfect compliment to our line-up and most importantly that of our clients! Those bite-sized and highly entertaining cultural curiosities are a delightful way to learn and judging solely by the enthusiastic response the show received at Forum Cartoon in fall 2008, we think the show will follow the success of our most recent brands such as THE OWL, LITTLE PRINCESS and PAT&STAN!’ Mayumi Pavy, Production Executive at La Station Animation: 'From the moment we first encountered MISTER OTTER, we were smitten with these two little fellows. We then knew we could not rest until they found their way onto television. Our own Managing Director, Pierre Coré, took the lead in bringing MISTER OTTER to animated life. We were more than honoured when TV-Loonland offered us to include our little duo in their prestigious line-up of programming. Ever since, it has been a pleasure to work with such an inspiring, professional and cheerful team in making sure that MISTER OTTER does indeed become a 'TV-globetrotter'.'
