* eno orders four tubular steel towers eno energy contracts Fürstenwalder Reuther STC GmbH with the delivery of tubular steel towers for four WTG of the type eno126. They will be erected in 2020 in Thuringia and Mecklenburg Western Pomerania, each with a hub height of 137m. Reuther STC and eno have a longstanding business partnership. eno energy has been using tubular steel towers from the Brandenburg supplier since 2012. After Reuther suffered payment defaults of around 7 million euros in a turbulent market environment due to the insolvency of one of their largest wind tower customers and had as a result to file for insolvency, the Fürstenwalder successfully freed themselves from the difficult situation on their own and under their own direction. Regarding the eno order, the managing director of Reuther STC, Finn Melgaard, explains: “We are pleased that after self-managed insolvency, eno was the first company in the wind energy sector to commission us with the production of steel segments. We have seen eno as a reliable partner even in the difficult times of the past few months. eno has made a significant contribution to the fact that we can continue our production and thus secure 165 jobs in the region. Our long-standing relationship based on partnership and entrepreneurial spirits as well as our mutual, medium-sized flexibility have proven to be valuable.” Stefan Bockholt, Managing Director of eno energy, adds: “The wind industry in Germany has had challenging years. Both eno and Reuther emerge strengthened from this situation. We want to continue our successful cooperation in the future, because we greatly appreciate Reuther’s high quality standards and willingness to break new ground in technology. Due to the proximity and the close cooperation of our teams in design and project implementation, we have jointly developed technological innovations in recent years that contribute to the increased efficiency of wind turbines. “ The traditional company Reuther, whose roots are based in Pintsch AG founded by Julius Pintsch in 1872, has earned a good reputation in various industries as a steel design specialist. In addition to towers, Reuther also supplies large-volume containers, components for the mining industry, steel products for winches in the shipping industry and specializes in the production of hydrogen containers.
