Kazakhstan Kagazy PLC (the 'Company') has requested the UKLA to suspend the
listing of the Company's GDRs. Suspension has taken effect from prior to the
commencement of trading on 30 April 2014.

The Company has made this request on the grounds that the publication of its 2013
annual report and audited accounts will be delayed until further notice. This
delay has been caused by the failure of the Almaty-region Financial Police to
return essential financial and corporate documents, which were extracted from the
Kagazy Group's corporate headquarters in December 2013. Without access to these
documents, the Group's auditors are unable to complete their work. The Financial
Police have refused the Company's requests to return the documents, despite the
cancellation on 1 April 2014 of 7 financial police investigations into Kagazy
Group companies.

The Company has escalated its complaints regarding the retained documents to the
General Procurator of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the hope that he will be able
to expedite the release of the Group's documents and, thereby, the publication of
the Company's annual accounts. Once the documents are returned and the audit
completed, the Company will request suspension of its listing to be cancelled.
